The course "Computer Networks and Telecommunications" is a special discipline and taught to students 4 courses of a specialty 230106.51 "Maintenance of computers and computer networks." The course lasts for 130 hours of classroom teaching, which include 100 hours of lectures, 30 hours of practical training. The aim of the course is to develop in the future expert body of knowledge and understanding of the features and principles of operation of computer networks, the organization into a whole heterogeneous information presented in a variety of formats and opportunities to actively impact of humans on the data in real time, as well as the organization of access to Distributed data.
The most important task of the course is to develop students' understanding of the role of standards for reporting and data transmission protocols to integrate into a whole heterogeneous information resources, as well as practical skills for the development of network information resources and the ability to develop simple network applications based on client-server architecture.
