9th Company in detail recreates the events of the last large-scale Soviet military operation. Few people know this story: on January 8, 1988, the 9th company of the 345th Guards Airborne Regiment came under fire at an altitude of 3234. They managed to stop several attacks of four hundred Mujahidin and Pakistan mercenaries and hold the position for two days. The team lost six soldiers, and 28 of the remaining 39 people were injured. Two soldiers of the 9th company were posthumously awarded the Gold Star medal and the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
