Selishchev Alexander born on October 23, 1953 in the city of Irkutsk. In 1976
He graduated with honors from the Irkutsk Institute of National Economy (now - Irkut
Skye State Academy of Economics).
In 1979 he graduated from the graduate school at the Leningrad Finance and Economics
Institute. Voznesensky (now - St. Petersburg states
University of Economics and Finance -SPbGUEiF) with the defense of a
dissertation on the topic: "International labor migration and its impact on
the labor market (for example, the UK). "
From 1980 to 1996 he taught at the universities of Irkutsk and the political economy of
rovuyu economy.
In 1995 he defended his doctoral thesis at SPbGUEiF on "Srav
tional analysis of the models of economic growth (for example, Eastern
Asia). "
Since 1996 - Professor SPbGUEiF.
Author of more than 70 works. Chief among them: "The Japanese expansion: people and ideas"
(1993); "East Asian model of economic growth (Lessons for Russia)"
(1995); textbook "Macroeconomics" (2000; 2001).

the economic cycle; East Asian economies; Russia's economy.
