Five years after the events in Saints Row: The Third, the head of the "Saints" was elected president of the United States. Soon after, an alien invasion takes place in the leadership with Zinjak, who encapsulates the protagonists in a virtual version of the city of Steelport, where they acquire various superpowers that they must use in the fight against humanoids.
As in the previous parts of the series, the player controls the leader of the "Saints from the 3rd Street", who becomes president of the United States of America. The game takes place in the fictional city of Steelport from Saints Row: The Third, transformed into a retro-futuristic anti-utopia with elements of Washington.
