INTRODUCTION


Verbal methods occupy a leading position among the methods of teaching psychology.Their main advantage is that they allow in the short term to transfer a large volume of information. Typical metoda¬mi are verbal story, explanation, conversation, discussion, work with the book.
Theoretical and practical importance of this topic isverbal techniques that contribute to the development of abstract thinking of students. However, the unilateral use of verbal techniques hampers the absorption of the material, especially students with visual-motor imagery and memory, with visual-figurative type of thinking.
Relevance. Verbal methods are always used in training. There were times,when they occupied a dominant place in the teaching methods. Progressive teachers (YL Comenius, IG Pestalozzi, Ushinsky) fought against the exaggeration of these methods have proven the need to supplement their visual and practical.
