Thesis is devoted to the application of the method of spectrophotometry to the determination of any harmful substances in aqueous solutions. All the deteriorating environmental situation requires the development and introduction of instrumental simple and reliable methods for the determination of substances in solution. Spectrophotometry allows to solve this problem simply and quickly with sufficient reliability, and appearing in the recent devices are simple and easy to operate.

Diploma thesis contains an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter describes the nature and properties of electron - excited states of molecules, as well as the associated path of degradation of electronic excitation energy. In the second chapter discussed in detail the structure of the electron shells, the types of electronic transitions. The third chapter is devoted to information obtained from the spectral data in the absorption and emission of light by molecules in solution. In the fourth chapter details the experimental determination of the mass concentration of substances in solution by spectrophotometric method
Theoretical information contained in Chapters 1-3 show a good enough erudition of the author, the ability to work with literature and study questions are not set out in the course of physics.
The apparent advantage of the work is carried out by the experimental determination of the content of substances in aqueous solutions by spectrophotometry.
By the definition of the problem and its implementation, the volume of the theoretical part and the practical results of this work meets the requirements of the thesis specialist at the Pedagogical University and commendable.
